The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Actor for Bentham in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.

The platform declared recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. The role can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role reimagined as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and anime.

Escola will work alongside multiple new cast members tasked with bringing the group to reality, including leader Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of Alabasta.

Although this character is a key figure of Baroque Works, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. With the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its second season on March 10, 2026.
