It's difficult for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if not provided the opportunity.

Ultimately, the result of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a platform to create her latest masterpiece.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her hundred in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was removed her side required another 66 at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the assurance to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, should it happen, we know we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing rival teams at this World Cup want to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory following win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.
